Money with a Mission
How my mindset about money has changed:
In order to demonstrate how my thinking has changed, I would like to share some of the notes that I made during our first ‘Money with Mission’ session with Pastor John. Money is merely a representation of capacity, capability, and energy. The love of money isn’t about the physical paper, it’s about loving what money represents and what it reveals about you. It’s about the fact that you want to show everyone how capable you are, how much capacity you have and how efficient your energy is being used. In doing that, you elevate yourself. Saying in your own heart: “Look at how good I’m wokring the system”.
But if I live by the God-given energy that Jesus lived by then I can have His capability and His capacity. Instead of allowing money to define my worth in energy, capacity and capability, I let the love God reveal who I am in Christ Jesus. I am exchanging an energy system of performance for an energy system of Love. His Words that I speak create fruitfulness in the form of capability and capacity. Then it doesn’t matter how much is in my hands, I’m merely a steward of His energy, capacity and capability. Money only facilitates eternal investments while I am on the earth. Glory to Jesus! I am so grateful for this shift in my heart and mind.
Weekend Highlight: Education ROAR
The Lord ministered very powerfully through Pastor John as well as our guest speakers from America (Eric and Nikki). We ended off the weekend with a bang in Message Moments. Pastor Sharon led the meeting and called individuals to share from the 11th of June 2023 message ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me’. It was evident that the Spirit was moving in this session. There were outbursts of joy, people running around the auditorium and jumping in sheer excitement.
There were several young people who came to the front and roared from their spirits. Pastor Sharon witnessed that these roars were for Apostolic order in the education system. I also witnessed that the young people who roared for education were first fruits – the first of many who will break free from the school system and “vomit up their dependence on man”. The Spirit definitely had His way in this session. Glory to God!
I just know that everything has changed after this weekend. There is a shift for victory in the spirit that has begun. It’s going to shift things now in education. Things are already changing because we have prayed. I believe this is on God’s agenda. This is our purpose as the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are pressing for Apostolic order in the education system. God wants us to teach our children the ways of God. The Holy Spirit made that abundantly clear through Angie when He said: “Your children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be the peace of your children. Thus says the Lord: Your children shall not be prey”.
